It may come as a surprise, but the idea for Window Seat Coffee was born in the cubicles of public accounting. It was during this time in our life, working desk jobs, that we dreamed of a fresh start and a new adventure. One day, while out on our daily coffee run, it hit us: getting out of the office and taking even a small break was all we needed to power through our day. We wanted to make that simple, yet relatable, feeling the spirit of our new business. Whether on a quick coffee run, away with the family at the lake, or on an epic trip around the world, we have all experienced the energizing feeling of getting away from it all.
Now, maybe the themes present throughout our business make a little more sense. The name, the plane-centric café in Dallas, TX , the travel-based social media posts, and the ticket-shaped labels on our coffee bags are all little touches we hope transport our customers to wherever they want to be.
But why a coffee shop? Why not start a travel company? Or become a pilot? Or open Window Seat Ice Cream?
Because we love coffee! In fact, some might say we have a coffee problem, but can you blame us?
We are truly passionate about all things coffee. It’s why we roast our coffee in house, utilizing computer software to track and analyze each batch. It’s why we recommend brewing coffee with an extraction rate between 18 and 22%, consistent with the standards set by the Specialty Coffee Association of America. It’s why we offer flight boxes for our customers to sample and find their favorite bean.
We do these things because details matter. Because the quality of everything we do matters. Because you and your experience matter. We intend to keep providing the best coffee, and overall experience, possible. We want our passion to be seen in all that we do.
We sincerely thank you for finding our small business. We know competition is fierce in today’s market, and there is always a new business or trend vying to capture your attention.
But now that you have found us, we hope our simple idea can inspire you to get away, even if just for a brief time. We also hope you continue to drink our coffee, continue to visit us online or in person in Dallas, TX, and follow us on Instagram and Facebook @windowseatcoffee.
However, most of all, we hope that today isn’t the end of your Window Seat journey, but, instead, just the beginning.
Until next time,
The Window Seat Coffee team
